ITS OUR TIME!

Few weeks ago I wrote an article about the coming of a new season. I believe this is not just an outward transition, but also an inward one as well. Anyone who resist changing when necessary usually suffer the consequences thereof . Quit often we adjust to changes be it weather, work, even in our families. "There is time for everything," says the philosopher. Time to build , gather , destroy, to be born and time to die, he would add.

For the past few days, I like many Zimbabweans and the international community have googling, and searching for any news that is related to the elections back home. I read hundreds of emails, over a dozen of online newspapers, clicked on cable news, CNN, BBC, Associated press, Yahoo, SABC, the Bulawayo Chronicle and the Herald just to mention a few. I even visited a number of Zimbabwean blogs. As a matter of fact I am still searching for the presidential election results. It is a relief to know that the Movement for Democratic Change has won the parliamentary elections in Zimbabwe. This means that they now have the power change the Constitution that governs the country.

This is good news for Zimbabwe and the world. At least there is hope now. Hope that the people will be free form the Zimbabwe African People's Union regime's oppression.. For a long time the people have suffered. Unemployment, poverty, Aids, corruption as well as inflation. We have the highest inflation in the world. The people of Zimbabwe have spoken. "Change the government". I believe this is our time. Zimbabweans must never a breeding ground for any dictator again. This is a permanent change. We need a government of national unity. We need a booming economy again.
